I am a live and session artist and started at a very young age playing as much as I could and succeeded in playing in lots of cover bands in Europe. In that cover stage I occasionally joined bands with their original work and played as a session artist in studios as well. I had the privilege of being a stand in bass player in the year 2018 for the first time and added that to my working environ- ment as well simply because I love it. There is always something new to learn and it is just around the corner.
As soon as I became a more advanced guitarist I started writing my own material and it has been a passion ever since. Strange as it sounds, it is a learning process for most music artists. A learning process that is never ending. Some songs come out better than others. It goes to show that it depends on many different factors. I love writing songs in different genres. Feeling connected with your own material is what it is all about. And if others appreciate your work.............

I felt the necessity of giving my producing activities some new input in the year 2021 and set up this new website. Involving other artists and giving a service to those who need help bringing their own compositions to a professio- nal end or composing and producing tracks for artists all together. Trying to connect people by involving them in the process of a song to have a successful end result is what I strive for. Producing is a tool that always needs a second helping hand.
Nowadays music demos are ever so often made at home than in expensive studios. If you are creative and you have got the tools you can get very far. Mixing takes time, experience and a good pair of ears. A great mix is not only a great sounding track. It needs creativity alongside an outstanding mix. It is just all these little ingredients filled with passion and lots of experience to turn your demo into a radio worthy track that you can be proud of.

I always like to have a rough mix, if possible, where the artists' guidelines make the desired direction clear which can be used as a positive starting point.

MASTERING YOUR MUSIC
I believe that mastering music should be done by
someone other than the one that composed and produced it. A new fresh pair of good objective listening ears following the guide lines that were given by the artist and producer. Not being biased by its vast amount of working hours that preceded the final result......that still needs that last important finishing touch. Don't get me wrong! Lots of recordings are perfect without mastering. But you just want to have that guarantee that your hard work sounds great everywhere at any time in any place.
"Ok, so you consider yourself a mastering engineer as well", I hear you think.
No, I don't. Howie Weinberg, Bob Ludwig, Warren Sokol, just to name a few, those guys are the real mastering engineers. And for the artists that are under contract and at the top of their game, they go to those big guys. Can I make the difference for the artists that do not have the financial possibilities to spend a few thousand on an album. Well, the answer is YES. You can't get all the way with only plugins but you can get very far with only plugins. The big guys that spent all their hard earned money on all the high level gear that is so much desired for delivering a good master are skilled in the same way as many of us are....and a bit better. :-) But a good master comes from dedication, serving the client, a good pair of ears and the tools you have got to make it work. It might take a bit longer but in the end...you will have something that you can be proud of and I would be happy to be a part of that.
